Jim Troughton - Warwickshire CCC Captain
Warwickshire County Cricket Club has announced that long-serving and Championship winning Captain, Jim Troughton will be awarded a Benefit Year in 2013.
The 33 yr old has been affiliated with the Club since the age of 11. He made his First Class debut for the Bears in 2001 and has enjoyed great success with the Club, winning the Benson and Hedges Cup in 2002, the County Championship in 2004, the Clydesdale Bank 40-Over Competition in 2010 and led the team to Championship glory in 2012.
Commenting on the news, Troughton said "I am extremely proud to be associated with Warwickshire County Cricket Club for the last 20 years. It's been a childhood dream come true to be Captain of the Club and I am delighted to have been awarded a Benefit.
'Winning the Championship this season has been a fantastic achievement and one I will cherish for the rest of my life.
'I've played with many outstanding players during my time with the Club, and the current squad has great potential to dominate County Cricket over the years to come. I hope I can lead them to even more success in 2013"
